  • Jayhawk Student-Athletes to unlock new career development and earning opportunities by training local young athletes across 16 varsity sports
  • All-in-one app to power camps, clinics and events for KU sports teams with one-time registration features, elevating the entire local youth sports economy
  • Platform to provide new ways to support and scholarship underprivileged young athletes for healthy futures and early connection to the universities they love

KANSAS CITY, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Good Game Inc., a Kansas-based sports technology company, today announced its inaugural collegiate partnership with The University of Kansas to serve as the exclusive app for KU Athletics’ lessons, camps and clinics. The app, designed to revolutionize the youth sports industry with a universal digital passport feature, will provide unprecedented access to Jayhawk athletes, coaches, camps and clinics. The company will announce partnerships with more legacy sports universities in U.S. cities throughout the year.

The Good Game is a connected community built on empowering the growing number of young athletes both on and off the field. Partnering with a traditional power, such as Kansas Athletics, not only provides student-athletes with more on-demand opportunities to earn alongside NIL, but also better engage by directly connecting to local families within their community. The intelligent gig economy app alleviates the challenges parents face finding vetted coaches for their child, and helps sports organizations create and staff events in a safe, compliant environment. The company, which successfully hosted a Bill Self Holiday Camp with its signature one-time registration ClearToJoin™ system, will now exclusively manage end-to-end operations for KU camps and clinics through the KU Athletics website. Following successful “Meet the Team” events featuring Kansas men’s basketball this past November and Kansas baseball this spring, additional endorsement opportunities and future events featuring Kansas football and other Jayhawk sports are planned as the program continues to grow.

Elite KU athletes currently on The Good Game app include:

  • Heidi Devers, Libero/Defensive Specialist
  • Logan Bell, Pin Hitter, 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year for Girls Volleyball in Indiana
  • Faith Johnston, Forward, 2023 Gatorade Player of the Year for Girls Soccer in Louisiana
  • Ty Thomson, LH Pitcher
  • Boede Rahe, RH Pitcher, four-time ICCAC Pitcher of the Week

“As a lifelong Jayhawk superfan, we’re thrilled to join with KU as our first university partner to help shape the playmakers of tomorrow,” said Zarif Haque, The Good Game Founder and CEO. “This is real community development that helps universities and area companies better the youth sports landscape in their neighborhoods – our tech makes this highly scalable and desirable for the NIL era. We potentialize young athletes of all levels, and now we get to do that alongside my alma mater – one of the most respected universities in the nation.”

“The partnership between Kansas student-athletes and the Good Game is uniquely impactful,” Kansas Director of Athletics Travis Goff said. “The Good Game creates a pipeline for our Jayhawks to engage with youth and the community in a meaningful way - young people gain mentorship and coaching, while our student-athletes develop as leaders and earn deserved financial benefits. Kansas Athletics is proud to call Zarif Haque and the Good Game ideal partners in this evolved climate.”

The partnership will enable KU and its student-athletes to:

  • Directly connect to more local families and share the KU Athletics experience
  • Provide opportunity for all student-athletes across KU
  • Simplify and centralize staffing and management for camps and clinics
  • Streamline compliance visibility and risk mitigation for camps and clinics
  • Enable business and career development skills in a 100% insured coaching environment
  • Measure social impact through camp, clinic and single session donations
  • Offer donors a unique way to help all young athletes with sport-specific support

The Good Game is available on iOS and Android platforms. The app’s sports “passport” provides one-time registration features for universal connection to lessons, camps, and sports events everywhere.
