NineDot Energy Appoints Alexis Glick Chief Executive Officer

Energy, infrastructure and finance executive to lead NineDot’s next phase of growth

Appointment comes as NineDot advances the strongest project pipeline in its history

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#batterystorage--NineDot Energy, the leading developer and operator of community-scale battery energy storage systems in the New York City metropolitan region, today announced the appointment of Alexis Glick as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Glick succeeds NineDot Co-founder and CEO David Arfin, who led NineDot from its founding through its development into a premier community-scale battery storage platform. The appointment comes as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Arfin, together with co-founders Adam Cohen and Nalin Kulatilaka, built NineDot into New York City’s largest community-scale battery storage platform. Today, NineDot has 11 operating projects totaling 39 MW, more than 60 additional projects under construction or in development, and a pipeline exceeding 1 GW. Glick has the operating leadership, commercial experience and financial expertise to execute the pipeline, scale the platform and build on NineDot’s strong partnerships.

“Leading NineDot from its earliest days through its development into New York City’s largest community-scale battery storage platform has been the privilege of my career,” said David Arfin, Co-founder of NineDot Energy. “Adam, Nalin and I are incredibly proud of what we have built together. With our strongest pipeline yet and the recent ribbon-cutting at our largest battery storage site in Hunts Point, this is the right time to welcome a new leader who can build on that foundation. Alexis brings the energy and infrastructure experience and financial acumen to guide NineDot’s next phase of growth. I am excited to welcome her to NineDot.”

Glick brings nearly three decades of leadership experience across renewable energy, infrastructure, finance, and capital markets. As CEO of Nature Energy North America, she drove the company’s expansion across the United States and Canada and advanced strategic partnerships in renewable natural gas development. She has served as a public company director and executive advisor to private equity firms and their portfolio companies across energy, infrastructure and sustainability, with experience spanning business transformation, commercial growth, capital formation and strategic transactions.

“I have tremendous respect for what David, Adam, Nalin and the entire NineDot organization have built,” said Alexis Glick. “NineDot has an exceptional team, a substantial development pipeline and an important position in one of the country’s most complex energy markets. I am honored to lead the company through its next phase of growth - advancing our New York project pipeline, scaling the business, and expanding the partnerships and capital solutions that will enable us to capture the opportunity ahead. As a native New Yorker, I understand how critical a reliable and resilient energy system is to the communities and businesses that power this city, and I am excited to help build that future.”

“David has been a trusted partner, inspiring leader, and close friend, helping turn a small idea into a company with meaningful impact,” said Adam Cohen, NineDot Energy Co-founder and Chief Technnology Officer. “From the beginning, we shared a desire to look at opportunities in new and different ways. I see that same curiosity and creativity in Alexis, along with the experience and leadership to help NineDot grow. I am excited to work with her and our team to build on that foundation and help the communities we serve prosper.”
