Mr. Kaplan’s arrival marks a significant addition to Mill Point’s investment leadership team as the Firm continues to expand its platform and pursue transformational investment opportunities through a collaborative partnership approach across the lower-middle market.
A highly respected investor in private equity, Mr. Kaplan brings more than 25 years of experience sourcing, executing and scaling investments in complex business services and industrial businesses. Prior to joining Mill Point, Mr. Kaplan was a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at Littlejohn & Co. (“Littlejohn”), a middle-market private equity firm, where he spent over two decades overseeing and executing investments, leading deal teams and serving in senior board and portfolio company oversight roles. Prior to Littlejohn, Mr. Kaplan worked with Michael Duran at Ripplewood Holdings, where he focused on domestic and international private equity investments across a variety of industries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kaplan was an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he advised on corporate transactions. He began his career as an analyst at Bear Stearns & Co.
