Financial institutions can now unify governed access to historical and real-time data across existing systems, distribute that data to applications and agents, and deploy AI-enabled applications in production with less generated code, built-in governance, and faster delivery.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--3forge, whose real-time application engine is used by leading buy-side and sell-side financial institutions to support mission-critical workflows, today introduced 3forge Enterprise, an application fabric for finance built on more than 12 years of real-time financial infrastructure deployments. Designed for the scale, speed, and governance requirements of financial markets, 3forge Enterprise unifies real-time data, business logic, AI, and application development in a single operational environment, giving financial institutions a production-ready continuum from data to deployed application.

3forge Enterprise, now available, transforms the company’s platform into an enterprise-wide fabric for financial systems through three layers: a governed real-time intake and exhaust layer for financial data, an application engine, and an AI-assisted development layer for building and running financial workflows that help users move from data to production, and an operational control layer instrumented to manage deployments at scale. Together, these layers allow vendor platforms, internal systems, and AI-enabled applications to access real-time and historical data through unified queries, streams, APIs, and agent access, while preserving the entitlements, auditability, and production controls required for capital markets.
“For years, financial institutions treated data platforms, business logic, and applications as separate architectural domains. That separation made sense operationally, but it is increasingly inefficient for high-value capital markets workflows. As AI raises the stakes, models and agents need more than disconnected data estates and fragmented application logic,” said Robert Cooke, Founder and CEO of 3forge.
“An application fabric brings data, decisions, execution, AI, and applications onto the same controlled, auditable foundation. For tier-one financial institutions, 3forge Enterprise provides a way to extend and modernize complex existing infrastructure. For mid-market banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, and asset managers, it provides access to a production-ready application fabric without having to build one from scratch,” continued Cooke.
Key Capabilities of 3forge Enterprise:
- Data Gateway: Provides unified, current-state access to real-time and historical tables, streams, and procedures across data nodes in the 3forge fabric. It supports enterprise-wide queries, SQL-style subscriptions, caching, conditional streams, dynamic subscriptions, subscription fan-out, load balancing, dynamic node composition, secure transport, authentication, authorization, and access audit logging.
- Native API Clients: Enable developers and applications to publish, subscribe, query, and insert data through native connectivity in Java, Python, and C++, with failover support and integrations across JDBC, Pandas, and SQLAlchemy libraries.
- MCP Server and AI Agent Access: Provides Model Context Protocol-compatible agents and AI environments with controlled access to 3forge-managed enterprise data, with OAuth 2.0, RBAC, and audit trails for governed interaction with financial systems.
- Live Prompting and Agentic Development: Enables business users, finance teams, and developers to create financial applications, workflows, and analytics with AI assistance while leveraging 3forge’s application engine, reusable business logic, and governed development controls.
- Operations Hub: Centralizes the management of 3forge deployments, including health monitoring, alert generation, reporting, instrumentation, distributed licensing, secure API/admin connectivity, and containerization support for the dynamic operation of 3forge components.
From Prompt to Working Application Foundation
In a Live Prompting demonstration, 3forge generated the working foundation of a real-time stock tracking application in 11 minutes using 74 lines of code. Because development happens inside the 3forge application engine, prompt-driven changes appeared immediately in the running application, without recompilation, relaunch, redeployment, or even a screen refresh. The application brought together live positions, concentration heatmaps, sector views, candlestick charts, and event-driven workflow actions against real-time financial data.
By allowing users to build against a governed application fabric instead of writing each integration, screen, and workflow from scratch, 3forge Enterprise can significantly reduce generated code, AI token usage, review burden, and delivery time for financial workflows.
“Building an application faster is only part of the challenge, and 3forge Enterprise marks the next inflection point for where software development in finance can head: Business users safely interacting with governed real-time data, developers supervising and reviewing AI-assisted work, and technology teams maintaining the structure, control, and production quality financial systems require,” said Cooke. “3forge Enterprise makes systems legible to AI while encoding the best-practice patterns, guardrails, and runtime foundation needed to move from idea to production without adding more fragmentation.”
