Industry veteran brings nearly two decades of sales and operations experience to support Shape’s continued growth across North America
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shape Digital, an industrial AI company that develops decision-making intelligence platforms for asset-heavy industries, today announced Jeremy Porter has joined the company to lead business development for North America. Porter’s addition to the team builds on Shape’s continued investment in North America, following the recent opening of its Houston office. Porter will help oil and gas operators use Shape's technology to reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs on critical equipment.

In his role, Porter will focus on expanding Shape’s relationships with operators across North America, helping companies identify opportunities to apply AI to industry challenges. He brings 19 years of experience across sales and operations, with a background rooted in enterprise technology and the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Shape, Porter served as Head of Operations at Seismos, an Austin-based deep technology company developing acoustic intelligence, advanced sensing and artificial intelligence for upstream operations.
“As we continue to expand our presence in North America, having the right people who understand our industry and the challenges operators face is critical,” said Felipe Baldissera, CEO of Shape Digital. “Jeremy brings deep industry experience and a strong understanding of the market at an important point in our growth. We believe the companies that will see the greatest impact are those that can move beyond experimenting with the technology to making it part of their everyday operations.”
“The opportunity for industrial AI isn't about giving operators more data. It's about helping them make better decisions with the data they already have,” said Porter. “That's what stood out to me about Shape. Its technology is grounded in the realities of industrial operations, helping engineers move beyond identifying problems to understand what actions to take. I'm excited to bring that approach to North America and demonstrate what it can mean for reliability, efficiency and operational performance.”
Porter will be at the Deepwater Operations and Topsides, Platforms & Hulls conferences in Galveston, Nov. 3-5 (Booth 914), and alongside MODEC at Future AI in Houston on Nov. 17. For more information and to learn more, please visit: www.shapedigital.com.
About Shape Digital
Shape Digital combines deep industrial expertise with agentic AI to serve as an intelligence layer for capital-intensive industries, helping teams move from operational data to precise action. Shape connects data from virtually any online or offline source or system, turning existing operational data into automated analysis, prognosis, recommendations and calls to action that help operators optimize performance, maintenance, safety and efficiency. Rather than replacing existing systems or adding another dashboard, Shape layers intelligence onto the systems and data companies already use. Born out of MODEC, a global leader in solutions to the floating offshore oil and gas market for more than 50 years, Shape brings decades of real-world industrial and heavy-asset expertise to its technology, helping operators, engineers and business leaders make smarter, faster decisions without adding unnecessary complexity.
