Experience Immersive Live Sports and Music Events, Together, From Anywhere.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, L1VE introduces Social Presence, a ticketed event experience that – for the first time – allows fans to be truly inside a live sports or music moment, together, in real time, from anywhere. L1VE is the pioneer of immersive live rights, a new licensable class of media rights that did not previously exist, now joining broadcast and streaming. L1VE events launch on August 1, kicking off with a Real Madrid friendly match vs. Fiorentina that is only available to experience on L1VE – not broadcast or streaming.
The biggest live moments have always been the hardest to access, limited by venue seating capacity, geography and price. Television and streaming scale reach but are more passive experiences, while VR has traditionally left each fan alone in a headset. The Social Presence experience is neither. It is the real event, captured live, where fans see, hear and react together, with each other, as though they were together in the venue. Fans buy a ticket per event on L1VE.com, and rights holders share in every sale. It is a new revenue layer on demand, never before available for monetization.
The timing is not incidental. “As AI makes content infinite, the one thing that stays scarce is reality: live moments, shared, that can never happen twice,” says Holger Hansen, Co-Founder and CEO of L1VE. “That’s what L1VE is built to deliver.” Analysts already project the immersive live-events market to more than triple, from roughly $8 billion in 2024 to over $33 billion by 2030. L1VE runs on any device, from phone to headset, and scales like software: one production reaches every fan at once.
The proprietary technology: Over 4 years of in-house R&D, L1VE built the full stack from venue to device. Because no capture solution for true social presence existed, it engineered its own immersive capture systems, not cameras, collecting a full venue of experience live in stereoscopic 360° 3D at up to 14K and 72fps. A real-time stitching pipeline fuses the feeds into a single live scene, and a compression codec, developed in a majority-owned joint venture with a spin-off of Germany's Fraunhofer Institute (co-creator of MP3 technology), makes the result streamable over ordinary networks. A custom delivery layer keeps every fan worldwide present at the exact same moment, with no delay in feed. It runs on every major immersive device.
The proof: In sports, L1VE has produced immersive events with leading rights holders across soccer, tennis, motorsport, basketball and winter sports, including productions around the UEFA Champions League, ATP, Formula E, MotoGP and FIBA 3x3. In music, L1VE has produced its own live format, L1VE Unlimited, across concerts and festivals with true spatial sound. In early testing across the U.S. and Germany, 70% of users returned for a second event and sessions averaged over 65 minutes, well above typical immersive-device benchmarks.
The differentiation: L1VE's advantage compounds across three layers. Technology: It has no off-the-shelf equivalent. L1VE built the entire stack itself, which is why L1VE delivers the full live venue in social presence, whereas others deliver a single live feed or recording after the event. Rights: having created immersive live rights, L1VE is the only company that can give rights holders an entirely new monetization layer, incremental to existing broadcast and streaming deals, not a competitor to them. Distribution: Fans buy tickets directly on L1VE.com, so L1VE owns the audience, data and pricing, and every event compounds the reach that wins the next rights and funds the next technology. A competitor would have to build all three at once.
With experience at Sky, Red Bull Media House, Paramount+ and Amazon, L1VE is built by operators who have shaped how the world watches live and have set out to build what comes next. The company is backed by the FIL Bros. Family Office of German serial founder Tom Schröder, based in Kitzbuehel, Austria, an active lead investor and hands-on partner since the company's earliest days, alongside a roster of investors that includes Jürgen Klopp, the former Liverpool FC manager and a fitting backer for a company built to put fans inside the game.
