Ge Information Services ha creato due nuove società, denominate Ge Global
Exchange Services e Ge Systems Services, che fanno parte del piano di
ristrutturazione progettato per aiutare le aziende ad adattarsi meglio al
mondo dell’e-business.
Ge Global Exchange Services si concentrerà su quattro aree: Internet Data
Exchange; Enterprise Application Integration Software; Procurement Software
e Servizi; e Trading Partner Exchange. Ge Systems Services fornirà, dal
canto proprio, l’infrastruttura delle operazioni globali per il supporto di
Ge Global Exchange Services.
Ge Global Exchange Services erediterà da Ge Information Services (il cui
brand verrà ritirato dal mercato), oltre 100.000 trading partner e 1.500
impiegati. Le sue attività saranno guidate da quattro nuovi vicepresidenti
:
Otto Kumbar, Internet Data Exchange Services; Steve Scala, che si occuperà
di Software Solutions; Bob Brooks, Trading Partner Exchanges; e Jan
Malasek, che si dedicherà all’area del Business Development.
Ge Systems Services sarà composto da oltre 500 impiegati worldwide, con i
maggiori centri operativi nel Maryland, in Ohio, Amstelveen, in Olanda e un
centro a Hong Kong. Oltre ai centri global data e processing Ge Systems
Services gestirà l’infrastruttura global network e l’help desk per i
servizi ai clienti. Il presidente e Ceo è Jim Macioce.
