Forum convenes media and ecosystem partners as LR2022 and LR2012 transceivers move into full production
CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading provider of high-performance semiconductors powering AI data center networking and intelligent, connected Internet of Things (“IoT”) devices worldwide, will host the LoRa® Global Ecosystem Forum at the 2026 International Internet of Things Exhibition (IOTE), taking place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao’an District) from Aug. 26-28. The company is exhibiting in Hall 10, Booth #10C51.
Themed “Innovate, Connect, Achieve: LoRa Connects Future Industries and Global Markets,” the Forum brings together LoRa ecosystem partners, customers and media for a discussion of where the LoRa ecosystem is headed and what’s driving adoption across industrial and consumer IoT. As part of the Forum, Semtech will host a press conference for attending industry press along with multiple customer case studies and technology presentations from LoRa ecosystem members and Semtech subject matter experts.

LR2022 and LR2012 Now in Production
The Forum coincides with the recently announced expansion of Semtech’s LoRa Plus™ family: the LR2022 and LR2012 transceivers which are now available in production volumes.
Based on Semtech's fourth-generation LoRa intellectual property (IP), the LR2022 is a multi-band transceiver designed for global terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks. The LR2012 is a sub-GHz LoRa transceiver designed for low-cost applications using purpose-built sensors. Together, the two devices extend the LoRa Plus family to address a wider spectrum of IoT application requirements — from cost-sensitive sub-GHz deployments to premium multi-band global tracking.
“Device makers are supporting more use cases — smart home, industrial sensing, global tracking, and more — without adding a new chip for each use case,” said Shahar Feldman, senior product marketing director of wireless ICs at Semtech. “LR2022 and LR2012 share the same fourth-generation LoRa IP and software platform, enabling design teams to build sub-GHz and multi-band products on one architecture, and simplifying supply chains, with fewer parts to source and qualify as these new products scale.”

- Video, image and audio transfer: Video transfer on fast long-range communication (FLRC) with LR2021 at up to 2.6 Mbps; image transfer on fast long-range protocol (FLRP) and audio over LoRa demonstrated through a live walkie-talkie demo
- Z-Wave and Wi-SUN demos: Z-Wave, FLRC and Wi-SUN combined with LoRa as multiprotocol connectivity solutions, all with LR2021
- Ecosystem device showcase: On display: devices connected through one of the largest consumer-facing LoRa networks in the world — including child trackers, vehicle trackers, glass-break sensors, fire alarms, and more
