Skyfire and Forter Enrich Trusted Agentic Commerce Decisions at Checkout

Forter accepts Skyfire’s Know Your Agent (KYA) tokens, lifting checkout success rates on agentic purchases, without introducing additional risk

NEW YORK & SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Skyfire, the Agent Trust Stack, and Forter, the Trust Intelligence Platform for the future of commerce, today announced their strengthened partnership which has successfully increased checkout success rates on agentic traffic, without introducing additional risk.

Traditional bot management solutions were built to flag non-human browsing behavior and high automation signals, which are exactly the characteristics of legitimate AI agents acting on behalf of real customers. The result is blocked checkouts for genuine agentic traffic and lost revenue. At the same time, fraudsters are actively looking for opportunities to exploit agentic commerce by masking as legitimate agents, making it challenging for merchants to know who to trust, especially when identity signals can be masked by AI platforms.

Together, Skyfire and Forter are solving this problem by distinguishing trusted agents from malicious automation. The integration builds on Forter’s existing Fraud Management for Agentic Commerce capabilities, which now ingests Skyfire’s KYA protocol data to enrich decisioning on agentic purchases. This added layer of intelligence comes as agentic orders across Forter's network have increased more than fourfold since August.

For Forter merchants, the partnership will enable delivery of higher authorization rates and reduction in chargeback exposure while enabling legitimate agent purchases to be completed without any additional friction. Nothing changes at the checkout UI. The new agentic signals pass alongside existing risk data.

The partnership was successfully piloted with Jomashop, the Brooklyn-based online retailer of luxury watches, jewelry, and accessories. Jomashop strengthened its agentic checkout success rates, where bot management tools blocked much of the traffic, to nearly 100% success rate, without increasing chargebacks.

"Our customers are starting to shop through agents, and we didn’t want to be the reason a legitimate purchase was declined. With Skyfire and Forter working together, we can better understand who the agent is, who sent it, and whether to trust the transaction,” said Osher Karnowsky, General Manager, Jomashop.com. “That clarity gives us confidence to support agentic buyers without introducing additional risk to the business."

For agentic commerce platforms, the integration will remove the structural penalty applied to agent transactions by default. For the broader ecosystem, the partnership sets an early template for what identity-first checkout looks like in an era where a growing share of commerce traffic originates from software acting on behalf of a person.

Eran Vanounou, Chief Technology and Product Officer at Forter, said the partnership addresses where ecosystem friction is hitting hardest. “Agentic commerce fails if retailers can’t tell the difference between an authorized buyer and a script trying to look like one,” Vanounou said. “Leveraging Forter and Skyfire lets businesses confidently validate both the identity of the AI agent and the trustworthiness of the underlying consumer. We are empowering digital commerce leaders to welcome AI-driven purchases while protecting their bottom line from fraud.”

Craig DeWitt, Co-Founder and Head of Product at Skyfire, said the integration removes one of the biggest barriers to scaling agentic commerce. “AI agents represent an entirely new channel for commerce, but today's fraud and security systems weren't built to recognize them,” DeWitt said. “By integrating Skyfire's Know Your Agent (KYA) identity directly into Forter's fraud decisioning, we're giving merchants the ability to distinguish trusted, authorized agents from malicious bots. This is a critical step toward making agentic commerce as secure, seamless, and scalable as traditional online shopping.”
