This partnership underscores KAON Broadband’s continued commitment to advancing open-source broadband platforms, backed by its extensive experience in commercial operator deployments and ongoing development of next-generation connectivity solutions.
KAON Broadband has played an active role in bringing prpl-based solutions to commercial operator networks, supporting deployments with major service providers including Orange, Magyar Telekom, Salt, eir, Epic, and Tarr. These deployments demonstrate KAON Broadband’s ability to translate open-source innovation into practical, operator-ready broadband solutions across diverse markets. Building on this experience, the company continues to develop prpl-based platforms that deliver greater flexibility, scalability, and opportunities for service differentiation.
At the Summit’s Business Day on October 12, KAON Broadband will showcase “Future-ready prpl platforms: proven in deployment, ready for Wi-Fi 8,” highlighting how its open broadband platforms are field-proven today, ready to scale to Wi-Fi 8, and designed to support third-party services.
The demonstration will feature a full, up-to-date prplWare software stack running on next-generation Wi-Fi 8 platforms, alongside prpl-based gateways already deployed in commercial operator networks. Together, these solutions demonstrate how a common open-source software foundation can meet today’s operator requirements while evolving to support next-generation hardware and connectivity technologies.
KAON Broadband will also showcase its Wi-Fi 7 Adaptive Services platform, integrating multiple third-party applications through prplLCM and leveraging TR-369 (USP) and a USP orchestrator for service management. This demonstration highlights how operators can use an open platform to introduce differentiated services while maintaining flexibility and control over their broadband ecosystems.
