New 40,000-square-foot DuBois facility expands manufacturing capacity amid growing demand for domestically produced magnets
DUBOIS, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Magnet Applications, a division of Bunting Magnetics, has purchased a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in DuBois, expanding its Pennsylvania operations to support growing demand for compression bonded magnets and increased domestic magnet manufacturing.
The newly acquired facility at 10 Industrial Drive is adjacent to Magnet Applications’ existing DuBois operation and includes manufacturing, warehouse, office and support space. The location allows the company to expand its capabilities while continuing to utilize its existing workforce, equipment, and operations in DuBois. The facility will be put into use immediately.
Magnet Applications has operated in DuBois for 34 years. The acquisition represents another long-term investment in the company’s Pennsylvania operations and provides additional capacity as the United States looks to strengthen domestic supply chains for permanent magnets.

The expansion comes amid increased federal efforts to strengthen U.S. supply chains for permanent magnets and expand domestic production capabilities. Permanent magnets are critical components used across a wide range of industries and technologies.
The additional 40,000 square feet will provide Magnet Applications with space for expanded manufacturing, warehousing, inventory and future production equipment. The company also anticipates continued growth could create additional employment opportunities in DuBois.
With the acquisition, Magnet Applications’ DuBois operations will grow from 21,000 square feet to 61,000 square feet of combined manufacturing, warehouse, office and support space.
