Partnership aimed to accelerate Tablet Command’s continued growth and mission to equip fire departments and emergency response agencies with modern incident management technology
SAN FRANCISCO & FORT WORTH, Texas & WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TPG, a leading global alternative asset management firm, today announced that The Rise Funds, TPG’s multi-sector global impact investing strategy, has signed a definitive agreement to make a significant investment in Tablet Command, a leading provider of incident management and response software for fire departments and emergency response agencies.
Founded in 2011 by Andy Bozzo and William Pigeon, Tablet Command provides real-time incident management software designed to help emergency response teams manage complex, time-sensitive operations. Its platform digitizes critical incident command workflows, including tactical command, unit tracking, personnel accountability, and post-incident reporting, helping fire departments and other agencies improve coordination, situational awareness, and operational effectiveness.
Today, the company serves more than 180 departments and agencies across the United States and Canada, including CAL FIRE, and supports approximately 28 of the largest U.S. fire departments. As fire departments respond to increasingly complex emergencies and large-scale natural disasters, including wildfires, Tablet Command provides purpose-built technology that enables incident commanders to more effectively coordinate personnel, resources, and information in real time that can ultimately save lives.
“Tablet Command has built a differentiated platform addressing a crucial need for fire departments and emergency response agencies as they navigate increasingly complex incidents,” said Akash Pradhan, Business Unit Partner for The Rise Funds. “As communities face growing risks from climate-driven natural disasters, Tablet Command is an indispensable solution in incident response and climate resilience."
“Tablet Command was built by first responders to solve the challenges they experience in the field,” said William Pigeon, CEO and Co-Founder of Tablet Command. “That firsthand perspective continues to shape the company we’ve built. We're excited about the opportunity to continue growing Tablet Command and advancing our product while staying true to our mission. With TPG supporting us in this next chapter, we're aligned on a shared goal of making an impact on the world.”
“We’ve come a long way since Will and I started Tablet Command, and we still see tremendous potential ahead,” said Andy Bozzo, Co-Founder of Tablet Command. “We’ve been fortunate to build an incredible team and earn the trust of fire departments and first responders across the country. With TPG’s experience and resources behind us, we’ll be able to invest further in our team, our technology, and the customers we serve as we continue to grow.”
The investment builds on The Rise Funds’ longstanding focus on climate adaptation and resilience, as well as TPG’s experience investing in vertical software and government technology. Tablet Command sits at the intersection of these themes, providing critical technology to public safety agencies and first responders.
The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Baird served as exclusive financial advisor to Tablet Command. Sidley Austin LLP served as legal advisor to Tablet Command.
