Cognitum One Expands Strategic Advisory Team with Six New Advisors Across Cloud, Product, Capital, AI Talent, Growth, and Healthcare

The new advisors join Cognitum One's founding advisory team of Mark B. Templeton, Dr. Greg Lavender, and John McKinley, deepening the company's operating expertise as it brings sovereign, edge-native agentic AI to regulated enterprises.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cognitum One™, Inc. today announced six new additions to its strategic advisory team: Adrian Cockcroft, Sean Patterson, Tom Lounibos, Jason La Barbera, Stuart Kerr, and Mark Allen, MD. The new advisors join Cognitum One's founding advisors — Mark B. Templeton, former CEO of Citrix Systems; Dr. Greg Lavender, former CTO of Intel Corporation; and John McKinley, former President of AOL Technologies — broadening the team of operators guiding the company as it brings sovereign, edge-native agentic AI to enterprise infrastructure.

The new strategic advisors bring deep, complementary domain experience across regulated healthcare, cloud-native architecture at scale, applied-AI go-to-market, and the talent and leadership practices enterprises need to put agentic AI into production. The new advisors are:

  • Adrian Cockcroft, Strategic Advisor – Cloud & Architecture, the cloud architect who led Netflix's landmark migration to AWS and open-sourced NetflixOSS, a founding voice of microservices, DevOps, and chaos engineering. He is the former VP of Cloud Architecture Strategy at AWS and a Technology Fellow at Battery Ventures and was earlier a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems and a founding member of eBay Research Labs.
  • Sean Patterson, Strategic Advisor – Product Strategy, a 25-year C-suite operator whose cross-industry path — from U.S. Navy nuclear submarine officer to executive manufacturing roles to scaling operations at Amazon — shaped his conviction that lasting change starts with leadership, not technology. He holds an MS in Nuclear Science and Engineering from MIT and a BS in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, and translates complex AI strategy into practical, human-centered solutions for small and mid-sized organizations.
  • Tom Lounibos, Strategic Advisor – Venture & Capital Strategy, a six-time Silicon Valley founder with six successful exits, including two IPOs and four acquisitions, who co-founded SOASTA in 2006 and served as CEO through its 2017 acquisition by Akamai, by which point it had become the leading global test platform used by 350 of the Global 500 digital brands. He most recently led Accenture Ventures, Accenture's corporate venture arm, which runs a $250 million fund and has invested in more than 80 startups worldwide, and was named one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Executives in Silicon Valley by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
  • Jason La Barbera, Strategic Advisor — AI Talent & Workforce Enablement, an executive talent and AI-workforce leader who helped NVIDIA scale through the generative AI boom, delivering more than 600 hires and supporting executive recruiting for CEO Jensen Huang. He later co-led NVIDIA’s AI Workforce Enablement initiative, translating agentic AI from emerging technology into practical operating capability. As founder of RunRetained, an AI-native executive recruiting and recruiter-enablement company, he advises Cognitum One on the talent strategy, organizational design, and workforce adoption required to deploy sovereign agentic AI at scale.
  • Stuart Kerr, Strategic Advisor – AI Strategy & Growth, a growth operator and AI strategist who took two companies public at a combined value of more than $14 billion and has held five board seats, with operating roots at Oracle under Larry Ellison and Apple/NeXT under Steve Jobs. He is the founder of ISO Vision AI and has trained more than 5,000 executives in applied AI.
  • Mark Allen, MD, Strategic Advisor – Healthcare & AI, an emergency-medicine physician turned AI-and-biotech entrepreneur with multiple exits. He was Founder and CEO of Corticon, a leading AI company of its time, acquired by Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS), and built one of the first web-based clinical decision-support systems. He is the Founder and CEO of HeroForge.AI and CareNavigator, with degrees in Applied Physics from Columbia and Medicine from UCLA.

Together with founding advisors Templeton, Lavender, and McKinley, the expanded team brings operating experience across the technology and organizational layers Cognitum One is designed to span: silicon and AI infrastructure, enterprise software, cloud-native architecture, regulated healthcare, capital formation, product strategy, AI-driven growth, and workforce transformation.

“Our founding advisors bring decades of experience building technologies that reshaped entire industries. This expanded group adds the operating depth required to make sovereign agentic AI real inside the organizations that need it most — from cloud architecture and product strategy to healthcare, capital, growth, and workforce transformation,” said D. Christopher Keil, Founding CEO of Cognitum One. “This is exactly the bench a company needs as it moves from architecture to adoption.”

"I've spent my whole career working with companies and individuals who are innovating around the latest technologies," said Adrian Cockcroft, Strategic Advisor. "Reuven has leveraged a mastery of agentic practices to rapidly develop many popular open-source tools like the swarm framework RuFlo that I've been using for over a year, and the contactless perception tool RuView. I'm excited to join Cognitum One, providing support and licensing for production deployments of these open-source tools and additional commercial products at scale."
