This new collection of research and conference presentations spans multiple disease states and demonstrates how real-world evidence accelerates clinically meaningful insights. A selection of these publications are summarized below and were presented at major conferences including ASCO 2026, the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, ISPOR and Digestive Disease Week.
- Association between Semaglutide and Risk of Bone Fractures in Type 2 Diabetes - presented at ENDO2026 evaluated fracture incidence and body mass index (BMI) changes among type 2 diabetes patients treated with semaglutide versus dulaglutide or alternative weight loss drugs (phentermine/topiramate, bupropion/naltrexone). Overall, researchers found the semaglutide treatment was associated with a greater BMI reduction and 15% reduction in fracture incidence.
- Antidepressant Use and Melanoma Immunotherapy: An Unexpected Signal – presented at ASCO 2026 to examine whether SSRIs influence outcomes in patients with metastatic melanoma who receive immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
- mRNA vs. DNA COVID-19 Vaccines and Autoimmune Risk: Nuanced Findings from a Large Cohort – presented at the SID Annual Meeting 2026, the study found that there is a trend towards higher autoimmune risk after mRNA vaccination and should require additional research.
- Statins May Protect Against Intestinal Strictures in Crohn’s Disease – published in the Journal of Crohn’s and Colitis in March 2026, this study evaluated two national databases about how drug repurposing discovery, powered by real-world evidence can show secondary benefits.
- Alcohol Use Disorder: A Persistent Gap in Hospital Care – published in Alcohol and Alcoholism, the study showed that fewer than 3% of hospitalized patients with alcohol use disorder received any medication-assisted treatment.
- Machine Learning Targets Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia Treatment Selection – presented at ASCP Annual Meeting 2026. These two posters demonstrated how machine learning and real-world data can help identify which patients with bipolar 1 and schizophrenia could most likely benefit from the long-acting injectable, aripiprazole monohydrate.
